I have had so many people ask about how I made the paper beard from the viking helmet post. So I thought I'd put together this post where you can download a free template and watch a short video on how easy it was to put together a DIY paper beard costume.

The beard is such an awesome dress up addition, and can add a lot of character to your costume.

You can have it scrunched up, straight or even with plaits. It's up to you how you want to style your beard.

How to make a DIY paper beard costume

The paper beard is so much fun and really quick to make for maximum effect. Great for those last minute costumes and you need to need to make a miracle happen overnight.

​​Things you will need for this little DIY:

~ Paper Packaging (a lot of parcels come with paper packaging now days, however you could use anything from newspaper to wrapping paper)

~ A4 printer/paper

~ Paper Shredder

The shredder needs to be able to reverse and do fine lone strips of paper, these are my two favourites:
