Hi there! I’m Alicia Brown, a Melbourne-based artist with a passion for transforming ordinary cardboard into extraordinary costumes and creations, especially for kids.

Motherhood has brought me so much joy, especially in those moments where we, as parents, get to create something special for our children. There’s nothing like seeing their faces light up when they see something crafted just for them.

I started making things for my kids when I realized that the toys and costumes I wanted for their imaginative play often came with a high price tag. My first thought? "I can make that!"

Cardboard quickly became my favorite material. It’s free, incredibly versatile, and far too valuable to simply throw away. There’s so much more potential in a cardboard box – all it needs is a spark of imagination. While I do make other things for my kids, I always find myself returning to cardboard; it just feels like home for my creativity.

 

My goal is to create magical memories for my children, encouraging them to explore their imaginations. I hope that by sharing my creations, I can inspire other parents to do the same.
